Cognitive Loop — Designing for Decision Clarity
Context
Knowledge workers make decisions under changing levels of workload, interruptions and context switching.
Scope
Exploratory concept using public HR and behavioural data.

Problem
Traditional performance information says little about the conditions surrounding decision-making.
The challenge was exploring how workload and behavioural information could be organised into interpretable views of organisational work conditions.

My Role
Product analytics & UX-led concept design combining:
Behavioural framing · Information architecture · Decision-support design · Stakeholder-oriented UX
Key Decisions
Designed information around workload and work conditions rather than scoring individual decision quality
Avoided treating opaque analytical outputs as objective truths
Separated strategic, organisational and team-level views
Outcome
Created an exploratory decision-support experience translating workload and organisational complexity into clearer information structures and questions worth investigating.
Decision Impact Summary
Key Insight
Complex organisational signals become more useful when they are structured around context and investigation rather than judgement.
Decision Supported
Help stakeholders identify patterns in workload and work conditions that may warrant deeper investigation.
Intended Decision Value
