InsightFlow — Making Workforce Signals Understandable
Context
Workforce information can help organisations understand broader engagement and retention patterns, but people analytics also introduces important questions around privacy, interpretation and trust.
Scope
Scenario-based portfolio case using a public HR dataset.

Problem
The challenge was to surface useful workforce patterns while avoiding an experience centred on intrusive individual monitoring.
The goal was to make organisational signals understandable enough to support discussion without presenting analytics as unquestionable judgement.

My Role
Product analytics & UX-led concept design combining:
Behavioural analysis · Information architecture · Privacy-aware UX · KPI definition · Stakeholder communication
Key Decisions
Focused the experience on broader workforce relationships and trends.
Structured information around understandable factors instead of presenting opaque outputs as objective truths.
Enabled stakeholders to explore relationships between role, tenure, engagement and attrition patterns.
Outcome
Created a people-analytics concept translating complex workforce information into more interpretable organisational signals.
The experience demonstrates how information design can support understanding while keeping privacy, trust and responsible use visible.
Decision Impact Summary
Key Insight
Workforce analytics is more credible when stakeholders understand what a signal represents, its limitations and the context in which it should be interpreted.
Decision Supported
Support HR and leadership conversations around broader engagement and retention patterns.
Intended Decision Value
Enable more informed organisational discussion without positioning individual surveillance or automated judgement as the solution.
